STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand how stressful the visa process can be. And we are happy to help!

Who is the course for?

The F/M/J Visas Masterclass is for anyone who wants to understand all of the steps involved in applying for a U.S. F-1 or M-1 or J-1 visa and their dependent visa(s). Whether you are simply thinking about studying in the United States or participating in an exchange program, or you have just begun the process or you are getting ready to go in for your visa interview or looking to re-apply after a visa denial, this course is for YOU!

What makes a former visa officer more qualified than a local visa consultant?

Good question! There are many self-proclaimed "visa experts" out there - we recommend you vet them carefully before listening to their advice.

We are former visa officers who worked as U.S. diplomats at U.S. embassies or consulates overseas and who interviewed thousands of visa applicants. We made those visa decisions ourselves, so we are uniquely positioned to be able to guide visa applicants through the process and help them strategize on how to answer a visa officer's questions based on their personal situations.

What if I was denied a U.S. visa before?

While the case notes from a 214(b) visa denial are in your record permanently, that does not mean the denial cannot be overcome in a future visa interview. That being said, every time a visa application gets denied, it gets harder to convince the Visa Officer that you are qualified for the visa. And so, the question becomes is it a good idea to reapply, and if so, when? We do cover this topic and others in each of our masterclasses. If you have specific questions about your case, we recommend you bundle a masterclass with a 1-on-1 consultation. During a 1-on-1 consultation, we would be happy to give you our honest, no-fluff feedback on whether and when you should re-apply for a visa to increase your chances of an approval.

How long do I have access to the course?

Good question! You typically will have 6-months of access to the course, unless other noted on the check-out page.

Do you guarantee that my visa will be approved?

Nobody can guarantee that your visa will be approved. If anyone claims they can, you should run away from them as fast as you can! With our courses and/or a consultation, however, you will significantly increase your chances - because with more knowledge from expert sources (like us, former Consular Managers), you will be better prepared for your interview.

Does it matter where I apply?

At this time, you may only apply for a visa if you hold the citizenship of that country or are a resident there. The U.S. immigration law is the same no matter where you apply. That being said, in our experience as former visa officers, we note that country conditions (economic, political etc.) do typically have an impact on how an officer assesses your ties to your country of nationality or residence.

The course is too expensive for me. What do you suggest?

If the courses are out of your budget, and you are a newly admitted international student, you may qualify for our scholarship program. Check your eligibility here.

We are offering 5,000 FREE seats for international student visa applicants (F, M, J) who recently got admitted to U.S. universities.
